about

Hello and welcome to the world of my first full-length album.

"Adrift" is a Concept Album that I started writing in late 2020, although at the time I didn't know it would be an album, or that it would have a concept.

As half a dozen or so songs came together that didn't really fit with any of my other releases, I realised that these tunes went together pretty well, and not only that but they sort of told a story, so I spent the latter half of 2021 refining and fleshing out the remainder of the musical pieces to complete the puzzle.

The story begins with an Astronaut stranded far from earth on the other side of an Ancient Alien Gateway. The explorer tries to return home using the Gateway. but becomes stuck in the Warp Gate mechanism. Experiencing time at an accelerated rate, they witness a nearby star explode and turn into a black hole, which pulls the warp gate to pieces and sucks the astronaut inside.

Surviving the Process, but transported to another realm, they are deconstructed into pure consciousness by unseen machines, witness unbelievable Cosmic Horrors, enter a Tesseract where they are granted eternal knowledge and witness the purest forms of love and sorrow.

Finally, after being reassembled back into a human, the astronaut is booted back into our realm to return to Earth and share their knowledge with the world in order to save it.

Tl;dr: "We forced a bot to write an album after watching 10,000 hours of Interstellar & 2001 A Space Odyssey , while Jon Hopkins & Max Cooper play on loop in the background, this is the best it could come up with"

Please enjoy loud, and thank you for coming on this journey with us.
